Description

This Ice Cream Sandwich Cake is a no-bake dessert that combines the creamy goodness of ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping, and colorful candy for an indulgent treat. Perfect for summer parties or any occasion, it’s simple to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ice cream sandwiches
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini M&M’s
  • 1/4 cup fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Start by laying down four ice cream sandwiches in a row on a serving plate.
  2. Use a piping bag with a large star tip to pipe dollops of whipped topping over the sandwiches, or use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle miniature chocolate chips and mini M&M’s over the whipped topping.
  4. Freeze the layer for 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping, and candies until you have three layers, freezing each layer before stacking the next.
  6. Once the final layer is added, freeze the entire cake for at least one hour.
  7. Drizzle the fudge sauce over the top of the cake and garnish with more M&M’s or chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Slice and serve the chilled cake!

Notes

  • This dessert can be made up to 3 days ahead of time and stored in the freezer.
  • For a homemade touch, you can swap whipped topping with freshly whipped cream.
  • If you’re looking for a nutty twist, you can add chopped peanut butter cups or crushed toffee bars as an ingredient replacement.
  • Be sure to freeze each layer before stacking for better structure.
