Description

Tiramisu Brownies combine the best of two beloved desserts: the rich, fudgy texture of brownies with the creamy, coffee-infused flavors of tiramisu. These indulgent treats are perfect for any occasion, offering layers of chocolate, coffee, and mascarpone that will make your taste buds sing.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt the butter and mix it with the sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the instant coffee or espresso powder.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. While the brownies are cooling, prepare the mascarpone layer. In a bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Once the brownies have cooled to room temperature, spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the top of the brownies.
  8. Sift cocoa powder over the mascarpone layer and refrigerate the brownies for at least two hours, preferably overnight, to set.

Notes

  • Let the brownies cool completely before spreading the mascarpone layer to avoid melting it.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso powder or a shot of brewed espresso in the mascarpone mixture.
  • Store the brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
