Description

These no-bake Energy Balls are a quick, healthy snack made with oats, nut butter, seeds, and natural sweetener. They’re soft, chewy, and perfect for meal prep, lunchboxes, or a grab-and-go energy boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats – hearty base that adds fiber and structure
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter – binds the mixture and adds protein and healthy fats
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup – natural sweetener and moisture source
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds – boosts fiber, omega-3s, and texture
  • 1/4 tsp salt – balances sweetness and enhances flavor
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips – optional add-in for sweetness and texture

Instructions

  1. If the peanut butter is very thick, gently warm it until it becomes easy to stir.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, and salt. Stir well to distribute evenly.
  3. Add the peanut butter and maple syrup to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until a thick, sticky dough forms.
  4. Fold in the mini chocolate chips if using, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball. Repeat with remaining dough.
  6. Place the Energy Balls on a plate or tray and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  7. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge or freezer until ready to eat.

Notes

  • If the mixture is too dry, add 1–2 teaspoons of maple syrup or nut butter.
  • If too sticky, mix in 1–2 tablespoons of extra oats.
  • Use almond butter, cashew butter, or sunflower seed butter for flavor or dietary swaps.
  • Energy Balls keep up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 4 months in the freezer.
