Description

Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese is a crispy, buttery sandwich layered with garlic-infused bread and rich, melted cheese for the ultimate comfort-food bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices white or sourdough bread (about 1/2 inch thick)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (about 4 oz total)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, grated garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until smooth and evenly mixed.
  2. Lay the bread slices on a flat surface and spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, into the skillet.
  4. Top each slice with two pieces of cheddar cheese, covering the surface evenly.
  5. Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing up, to form two sandwiches.
  6. Cook for about 3–4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crisp. Carefully flip the sandwiches.
  7. Continue cooking another 3–4 minutes until the second side is golden and the cheese is fully melted. Reduce heat if browning too quickly.
  8. Remove from the pan, rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook over medium or medium-low heat to prevent the garlic from burning.
  • Cover the pan briefly if the bread browns faster than the cheese melts.
  • Try mixing cheddar with mozzarella or provolone for extra melt and flavor.
  • Best served immediately for the crispiest texture.
