Description

Hissy Fit Dip is a savory, creamy appetizer made with sausage, Velveeta, muenster cheese, and sour cream. It’s a crowd-pleaser perfect for parties, football game days, or casual get-togethers. The rich and flavorful dip combines comforting ingredients to create a mouthwatering treat that will keep everyone coming back for more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sausage (ground pork or turkey)
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 8 oz muenster cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small crumbles. Drain any excess grease.
  2. In a separate pot, melt the Velveeta and muenster cheese over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  3. Add the cooked sausage to the melted cheese mixture and stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Let the dip simmer for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top and serve immediately with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • Make sure to drain the sausage well to avoid excess grease in the dip.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, consider adding diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • You can prepare the dip in advance and store it in the fridge. Reheat it gently on the stove before serving.
  • For a lighter version, use turkey sausage or a plant-based sausage alternative.
