Description

Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies are a timeless, classic treat loved by all. With their chewy centers, golden edges, and gooey chocolate chips, these cookies are perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re baking for a holiday or a simple dessert, this easy recipe will always deliver delicious results.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Do not overmix the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, but the centers are still soft. Remove from the oven before they are fully set.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overbake! The cookies will continue to firm up after being removed from the oven.
  • If the dough is too sticky, chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking.
  • For thicker cookies, add 1-2 tablespoons more flour to the dough or chill the dough before baking.
  • Use light-colored baking sheets to ensure even baking and prevent the bottoms from burning.
