Description

Protein Fluff is a creamy, airy, high-protein dessert made with simple ingredients like protein powder, frozen fruit, and milk. This low-calorie treat is perfect for weight loss, post-workout recovery, or satisfying sweet cravings in a healthy way.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 scoop (30g) chocolate or vanilla protein powder: provides protein and flavor
  • 1 1/2 cups (200g) frozen strawberries or mixed berries: adds volume and natural sweetness
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice): helps blend ingredients smoothly
  • 1–2 tbsp (15–30g) cocoa powder (optional): enhances chocolate flavor
  • 2–3 tbsp (30–45g) granulated sweetener or sugar: adds sweetness
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum: thickens and stabilizes the fluff
  • 1 pinch salt (optional): balances flavor

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen fruit to a high-speed blender or food processor.
  2. Add the protein powder and cocoa powder if making chocolate Protein Fluff.
  3. Pour in the almond milk, starting with a smaller amount to control consistency.
  4. Add sweetener and a pinch of salt for enhanced flavor.
  5. Sprinkle in the xanthan gum evenly.
  6. Blend on high speed, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  7. Continue blending for 2–4 minutes until the mixture becomes thick, fluffy, and airy.
  8. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if too thick or more ice/frozen fruit if too thin.
  9. Once light and mousse-like, transfer to a bowl.
  10. Serve immediately for best texture.

Notes

  • Always use frozen fruit or ice to achieve the fluffy texture.
  • Do not add too much liquid at once; start small and adjust gradually.
  • Xanthan gum is optional but recommended for the best consistency.
  • Use a high-powered blender for smoother and fluffier results.
  • Best served immediately, but can be re-blended if stored.
