Description
Sausage and Egg Roll Ups are a delicious and hearty breakfast dish, combining scrambled eggs, cheese, and sausage wrapped in buttery crescent dough. A savory and slightly sweet flavor profile, perfect for any meal of the day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 large eggs, whisked
- 1 (8 ounce) package crescent dough
- 4 slices cheddar cheese, cut in half
- 8 cooked breakfast sausage links
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add 4 whisked eggs and cook until they’re softly scrambled. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
- Unroll the crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Place one slice of cheddar cheese on the wide part of each triangle.
- Spoon the scrambled eggs evenly onto the cheese slices, then place one cooked sausage link on top of the eggs.
- Roll up the dough from the wide end, wrapping the eggs and sausage tightly. Ensure the seam is facing down to secure the roll.
- Bake the roll-ups in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- Check doneness: If the dough looks too pale, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the microwave or oven until warm.
- To make ahead, assemble the roll-ups and refrigerate overnight. Bake as instructed in the morning.
