Description

Shamrock Shake Pudding Shots are creamy, mint-flavored, no-bake dessert cocktails made with vanilla pudding, whipped vodka, and crème de menthe. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day parties, these festive green pudding shots are topped with whipped cream and cherries for a fun and indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whipped vodka (or vanilla vodka)
  • 1/4 cup crème de menthe liqueur
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping, thawed
  • 1–2 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for garnish)
  • 12 maraschino cherries (for garnish)
  • 12 (2 oz) plastic soufflé cups with lids

Instructions

  1. Arrange 12 (2 oz) plastic soufflé cups on a tray and set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the 3 oz instant vanilla pudding mix, 1 1/2 cups cold milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened and smooth.
  3. Add 1/2 cup whipped vodka and 1/4 cup crème de menthe to the pudding mixture. Stir gently until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the 8 oz thawed whipped topping using a spatula, mixing until the texture is light, fluffy, and evenly blended.
  5. Add 1–2 drops of green food coloring and stir until the desired shamrock green color is achieved.
  6. Spoon the mixture evenly into the 12 soufflé cups, filling each nearly to the top and smoothing the surface.
  7. Cover with lids and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
  8. Before serving, top each pudding shot with whipped cream and one maraschino cherry. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For best texture, use very cold milk to help the pudding set properly.
  • Do not overmix after adding whipped topping to keep the mixture light and airy.
  • Chill for a full 8 hours for optimal flavor and firmness.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Freezing is not recommended as it may affect texture.
  • For a stronger mint flavor, add a tiny drop of peppermint extract, but use sparingly.
