Description

Triple Layer Fudgy Mint Oreo Brownies are a rich chocolate dessert made with a fudgy brownie base, a crunchy Oreo cookie layer, and a smooth mint cream topping. This decadent layered brownie combines deep chocolate flavor with refreshing mint for a bakery-style treat that is perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime you crave an indulgent chocolate mint dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box such as eggs, oil, and water)
  • 24 Mint Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • 2–3 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional for richer brownie batter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions by mixing the brownie mix with eggs, oil, and water until smooth and thick.
  3. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  4. Arrange the Mint Oreo cookies in a single layer over the brownie batter, spacing them evenly across the pan.
  5. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the Oreo cookies and gently spread it so the cookies are fully covered.
  6. Bake the brownies for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the brownie layer to cool completely before adding the mint layer.
  8. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and mint extract until smooth and creamy.
  9. Add green food coloring if desired and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
  10. Spread the mint filling evenly over the cooled brownie layer using an offset spatula.
  11. Refrigerate the brownies for about 30 minutes so the mint layer firms up.
  12. Slice into squares using a sharp knife and serve chilled or slightly softened at room temperature.

Notes

  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before adding the mint layer to prevent melting.
  • Use high-quality cocoa or brownie mix for a deeper chocolate flavor.
  • Chilling the brownies before cutting helps create clean and neat layers.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • These brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months if wrapped tightly.
